Stainless Steel 316Ti Forged Socket Welding (SW) fittings are mainly used to permanently join pipes that are inserted into a recess in the fitting, flange, or valve. Once correctly inserted, fillet-type sealing welds are applied to join the pipe to the fitting. It is commonly known as SW pipe fittings, with SW elbows, SW couplings, and SW tees being examples of different types.
Grade 316Ti is referred to as the stabilized grade of the 316 types, and also one of the two 316 stainless steel that is recommended for higher temperature situations. It has better mechanical strength and high-temperature strength than 316L, with the addition of Titanium in 316 Ti, it can be used for extended periods at elevated temperatures without compromising its corrosion resistance.
